Starting a Business
Skills and Blue Grants: Where the First Jobs Begin
We begin by building young people's Skills. Then, through partnerships with local communities, we support youth-led businesses with 50+ Blue Grants each year, up to BAM 10,000 (approximately EUR 5,000) per grant, helping young people start or grow microbusinesses in trades, production, technology and export-oriented activities. The objective is simple: shorten the path from a first idea to a first invoice.
Blue Grants in Practice: Elnur Halilbašić, founder of Hidrosoft in Živinice, is one example of how financial support and mentoring can accelerate the development of a young business.

Mozaik ESG Solutions: Competitiveness for EU Value Chains
Once a business is established, the next challenge is becoming ready to compete and grow. Through Mozaik ESG Solutions, we help companies understand and respond to environmental, social and governance requirements, buyer expectations and responsible-business practices increasingly relevant to EU markets and supply chains. Businesses often start thinking about these requirements only when a customer or partner asks for evidence. Preparing earlier can protect market access, strengthen competitiveness and reduce future costs.

Proof in Practice: ReUseChain.ba
Mozaik ESG Solutions and Sparkasse Bank BiH launched ReUseChain.ba in 2025 as a digital B2B platform for the circular economy. 150+ companies are connected through ReUseChain.ba. The platform helps businesses turn surplus materials into resources, reduce waste and create new business opportunities through circular-economy practices.

Two Growth Paths: EU Markets and Global Tech
More mature businesses can continue growing through two parts of the Mozaik System: one focused on European markets and one on globally scalable technology ventures.
EU Markets · SPRING
Through SPRING, companies gain support for export competitiveness, green and digital transformation, stronger human-resource systems and access to new market opportunities. The objective is to help stronger companies compete, grow and create more quality Jobs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The programme is funded by Sweden and jointly implemented by EDA – Enterprise Development Agency, Mozaik Foundation and SERDA – Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency.

For ventures with global growth potential, Mozaik Foundation invests through Tech4Impact as an equity partner.
