Mozaik Foundation is not a project. It is a System that builds young people's market-relevant Skills, quality Jobs that make staying a real option, and the Trust without which we cannot seriously build our Homeland.
“We don't just deliver projects. We build a System.”

HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS
Skills are not built by listening. They are built when someone leads a project for the first time, manages a budget, negotiates with partners and is publicly accountable for the result.
Mozaik YouthBanks are where this begins, from the age of 17: 30% theory, 70% practice. Young people receive a grant, responsibility and a team. Every project is someone's first serious opportunity to show what they can do, not in a classroom, but in their own community.
Rolify extends this pathway beyond age 35: young people build their profiles, receive signals from the labour market and turn their experience into recognised value. We do not wait for someone to notice them. We build a System in which their effort becomes visible.
Skills without Jobs are an unfinished story. That is why we build a path from first experiences to businesses, Jobs and income that change lives, not only for individuals, but for entire communities.
The businesses in our portfolio are more than a number. They are young people who turned their Skills into work, that work into a business, and that business into a reason to stay. Mozaik Foundation connects entrepreneurship, business support and market access so that support does not end with a single grant.
The journey begins with Mozaik Foundation's Blue Grants: direct financial support combined with mentoring and market access for youth-led microbusinesses in trades, technology, exports and energy efficiency. The goal is simple: to make the path from the first idea to the first invoice as short as possible.
We further strengthen the Blue Grants through the SPRING project, funded by Sweden and implemented in partnership with the development agencies SERDA in Sarajevo and EDA in Banja Luka. SPRING drives green and digital transformation, improves human-resource management and strengthens the competitiveness of youth-led businesses in the EU market. In this way, we build a broader support ecosystem and connections to Sweden's ecosystem, including markets, partners and investors that can help youth-led businesses grow beyond Bosnia and Herzegovina.
For businesses ready for the next level, we create opportunities through Mozaik ESG Solutions and Tech4Impact: helping companies grow through responsible practices and investing in ventures with global potential.
Skills and Jobs do not change a country if people do not believe the System can work for them. Trust is built through proof: digitalisation that makes life easier, transparency, and reforms that emerge from practice, not promises.
Mozaik Policy Lab turns evidence from practice, on Skills, the labour market, businesses and communities, into concrete steps towards reform. The priority is the digitalisation of Bosnia and Herzegovina's labour market: making Skills easier to recognise and connect with Jobs, and matching young people with opportunities faster and more fairly.
When young people lead projects in their municipalities and cities, when businesses grow through responsible practices, when food is donated instead of discarded, and when the labour market becomes more digital and accessible, the System stops being abstract and becomes something people can believe in.
From Practice to Reform
FIRST-HAND
"I did not just get an opportunity. I got a System that taught me how to work, take responsibility and prove what I know. Today, I am part of the team building that same System for new generations. I know how much a first step can mean, because I took it myself."

FROM A PARTNER'S PERSPECTIVE
"Together with Mozaik Foundation, we have gone through several cycles of joint projects, from grantmaking for youth activism to a large-scale women's employment programme in cooperation with the EU. Whenever we open a new question, Mozaik brings its full capabilities to bear and guides us safely and reliably through the process, from jointly developing the methodology and selecting partners from its network of communities to providing first-rate ideas and advice, without ever losing sight of the ultimate purpose of our cooperation. Mozaik is meticulous, but innovation is fundamental to its DNA: ready to take calculated risks, yet capable of extraordinary achievements. That is the difference between an established organisation and a dynamic, thorough and stable System."

ESCO Skills classification in partnership with entity-level and state-level institutions, so that Skills built through Mozaik Foundation programmes are recognised in the labour market and young people can find Jobs more easily.
Evidence from Mozaik YouthBanks, Rolify and businesses turned into concrete proposals for laws and reforms, because practice must shape policy, not the other way around.
Removing VAT from donated food began as a Mozaik Foundation initiative and became law, proof that our data and experience from the field can change the System.
Results and Accountability
A platform through which companies donate surplus food to soup kitchens throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, created through the initiative to remove VAT from donated food.
An independent audit and public financial reports every year. Every convertible mark of your donation is visible in our consolidated annual reports.
SCHWAB FOUNDATION ON MOZAIK FOUNDATION
"We select social entrepreneurs who build systems larger than themselves. What has been built here, a complete operating System connecting young people's Skills, employment, entrepreneurship and public-policy change, is rarely seen even in far simpler contexts. That is why we helped strengthen this System through executive education programmes at Harvard and INSEAD and through networking within the World Economic Forum. Fifteen years later, the System still stands and continues to innovate."
